Preschool dance in Laurel, Montana
Tiptoe in and try a class
Tutu is a dance studio for ages 2 to 6. Our dancers tiptoe across the floor like mice, paws up, in classes that start with a song and end with a scarf in the air.

Your first class
A first class is thirty to forty-five minutes.
- 01
Step 1: Pick a class
Choose the class for your dancer's age. If you aren't sure, call the studio and we will say which class fits.
- 02
Step 2: Arrive ten minutes early
A teacher meets you at the door, and a new dancer picks a spot on the floor. Socks or ballet slippers are fine.
- 03
Step 3: Move and sing
A hello song, then marching, tiptoeing and scarves, and a goodbye song. Nobody is asked to stand still for long.
- 04
Step 4: Talk at the door
The teacher tells you how it went. Register at the desk or send us a message when you are ready.

A barre at child height
One bright studio with a sprung floor and a barre low enough for two-year-old hands.
Classes are small, with up to 8 dancers in tiny movers, up to 10 in creative movement and up to 12 in ballet and tap. Scarves, hoops and tambourines wait in baskets, and every dancer has a hook for a bag.
Four teachers, each with a background check
CPR and first aid for every teacher
Grown-ups wait in the lobby for ages 4 to 6

What families ask first
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
Watching class
On the last class of every month, families come into the studio and watch. On other days, grown-ups of ages 4 to 6 wait in the lobby, and grown-ups of ages 2 to 3 are in the room, dancing along. The May recital is open to family and friends.
What to wear and bring
A leotard or a plain top with leggings or a skirt, and ballet slippers, or socks for the first weeks. Hair up and off the neck, and a water bottle with a closing lid. Please leave jewelry and costumes at home.
Drop-off and pickup
A teacher meets each class at the studio door and hands every dancer to a named grown-up at the end. Please tell us in advance if someone new will collect your dancer; we ask them to show an ID.
Two ways to start
Show a coupon at the desk and ask what it covers.
Try a class
Pick a class from the matrix and book a visit. Wear something comfortable; socks are fine.
